The Closed Crawl Space System
Healthy Home Environment's advanced closed crawl space system locks out damaging moisture, providing a drier, cleaner environment beneath your living space as well as in your entire home. The foundation, sub-floor, and insulation stay drier, providing an environment unfavorable to wood-destroying insects, dust mites, mold, and other allergens. Utilities last longer and operate more efficiently, saving you money. Treatment of your crawl space is one of the best investments you can make in your home.
Healthy Home Environment will:
- Clean crawl space floor, ensure proper grade for drainage.
- Line foundation walls with 12-mil polyethylene sheeting.
- Cover floor with 12-mil, reinforced poly sheeting.
- Seal overlapping sheets and wall coverings.
- Seal foundation vents and other openings.
- Air seal ductwork, as needed.
- Set up a dehumidifier and remote thermohygrometer (allows you to see the percent moisture in the crawl space without having to go into the crawl space).
- Follow-up with performance evaluation.
Have Healthy Home Environment inspect your home's crawl space for signs of damaging moisture, mold, mildew, and fungus.
